Two problems: parents absence viewing and intervention email option

Asked by Dimitar

First problem:
Parent access is enabled but the acc can't see weather the journal: weather his kid was absent or attended the class.

Second problem:
I have set up an email server vie my google acc for outgoing email, but the message setting in the Intervention is shady and can't be chosen at all.

I am using: SchoolTool versions
schooltool 2.8.4
schooltool.cando 2.8.2
schooltool.gradebook 2.8.4.1
schooltool.intervention 2.7.0
schooltool.lyceum.journal 2.8.2.1

Can you send a test email as described in http://book.schooltool.org/server-settings.html

I linked to the parent attendance access bug. We'll address it in the next release.

About the mail: it worked by setting the default manager mail, as in the mail server, as a contact info for all teachers; fortunately if one wants to check the info for the teacher as a person, he gets the teacher own email, so there is no problem in this.

About the parents: looking forward for the solution.

Additionally: Not to make a new topic about it: we are using mark system which grades from A* to U, but the parent isn't getting the mark as, for example, E/A*, but the corresponding numerical value 1/A*.

Can you help with this problem?
