grades disappear after save

Hi,

We have one teacher that has couple of sections with 1 student in each. Whenever she enters marks in the worksheet and clicks save, the marks disappear. Please help.

Hi Tom,

The scores are valid, but it's highlighted RED before save.

If they are in red, the gradebook does not think they are valid and will not save them. Check how the activity is set up and what score system it uses.

i define my score system say for example "assignment" and the maximum gade
is 40% if i put 50 it shows yellow and if i save i see the average from the
grade input GUI

We store grades in excess of the maximum because sometimes people want to use "extra credit." Whether or not we would save all invalid scores was a matter of debate, but we decided that it would be better to make it clear that they were not valid enough to be used for calculations.
