Schooltool Connect Anywhere

Asked by jerome jones on 2014-10-02

Mr. Tom how are you.

im back again. I recently installed a vmware on my server 2008r2 Foundation and have Schooltool installed. I am from Jamaica and i use a SmartRg Router and forward port in the NAT interface of the Router to 7080. the ip address of the server was 192.x.1.x and withing the VMware the IP address for UBUNTU was 192.x.1.x. i used the public IP of the Server when im off campus or anywhere else and use the Ubuntu when im on campus with the port number eg 72.27.x.x. I figured this may help to connect to schooltool anywhere.

Is this a safe way?

Hi Jerome,

It seems safe to me, although you probably should set up SSL so the data in encrypted.

Can you help with this problem?
