Activity Average and Sheet or Class Average in Gradebook

Asked by caveman

Would it be possible to add an extra column to the bottom of each sheet in Gradebook containing averages of the column above?

I have often looked for (and others asked for) a way to easily find out the average of an activity (quiz, test, exam, etc...) and the class average. So far the only way to do this is to export it into a spreadsheet and tally it myself, where as it would be much nicer if the gradebook automatically showed such pertinent information.

If it could be laid out the same as the sheet average (being able to select the same options as far as viewing it with the different scoring systems) that would be even better!

It may look like a simle request, but would be very benificial to all who use the gradebook as it is something which those of us who used to tally marks in spreadsheets did frequently and easily.

Thanks.

The simple requests are the ones we like! This makes sense.

Hi Tim

Could I also add an addendum to that request? Is is possible to add the total number of marks for each activity to the PDF gradebook printout. They are shown beneath the labels on the worksheet but not on the printable worksheet. I think the class average should also appear on the printable worksheet.

Thanks,

Andy R
