import calendar entries from schoolbell

hi,

is there a way to import the old entries from schoolbell into the current calendar (and is the calendar working properly?)

Not really. What we could do relatively easy is create a script that would export the calendars and re-create them in the new SchoolTool, but it would be a lot of work to do it in a way that wouldn't lose a lot of meta-data, such as which calendars each person subscribes to.

I guess the question we'd have is whether or not it would be sufficient to move the basic objects and their calendars without preserving the other meta-data.

mhm - for my case it would be sufficient to somehow get all the calendar items (events) back. is this too a lot of work?

It isn't too much work, since we can import and export the calendars as iCal files. Well, it is probably a lot of work to make the whole system bullet and idiot proof, but I'd like to have something that worked well enough.
