Customize Schooltool CSS

Asked by Rigoberto Villalta

I want to Customize Schooltool front page (an all pages of course), I think is it is only a few changes in CSS and HTML archives, but I don´t find the files.

That´s what I am lookinf for:

1) Add two link on the down side of the pages, after the link to schooltool an The Shuttleworth fondation, one link to ubuntu main page, and other to my school´s site.

2) Change the color of the site, and add the school´s logo up to the schooltool logo. I have made the first with the CSS file in /usr/share/pyshared/schooltool/skin/flourish/resources/colors.css, but I don`t know where is the hexes.svg file.

If someone can help me I would appreciate it. Thanks

1) If you just want to modify the footer of all the pages, check /usr/share/pyshared/schooltool/skin/flourish/templates/main.pt. Be careful when you modify it because it's a Zope Page Template (you'll see some "weird" directives and attributes). I recommend you to make a backup copy of the original one in case you need to restore it.

2) The hexes.svg file should be located at /usr/share/pyshared/schooltool/skin/flourish/resources, although I remember an old version didn't include it.

I think SchoolTool 2.2.4 includes a basic school logo feature (http://book.schooltool.org/2.3-release-notes.html#rc-2012-10-09). After you customize it under School -> School Name, you're able to see it in the manage School page and the login page.
