Period for a Scheduled Section seems to start a day late in the Calendar.

Asked by Robin Dexter

Hi

I Created Year, Term, Course and Timetable

Scheduled the course section to be within a term (i.e. later than Term start date and earlier than Term end date) using the following parameters
First Scheduled Day 20 Feb 2012, Last Scheduled Day 9th Mar 2012

Checked first period check box in Scheduled Periods for each day of the week (Mon-Fri).
Clicked on calendar for the Course, and the first scheduled Lesson is on 21 Feb 2012 rather than 20 Feb as expected.
Last lesson is on 9th Mar 2012 as expected

Is this expected behaviour or am I doing something wrong.

Cheers

Robin

Hi Robin,

This is probably a timezone bug (my greatest regret is adding timezone support to SchoolTool...). Try setting the server timezone to GMT.

I find these statuses a bit confusing.

This was fixed in schooltool 2.0.2 IIRC, so don't need to use GMT timezone now.

User query:

Hi all. Does anyone perhaps know what could cause the scheduling of a section to skip the "First scheduled day" and start the day after?

I see a question was asked sometime ago: https://answers.launchpad.net/schooltool/+question/186181. It is marked as resolved though in 2.0.2, I am running 2.3.1 and still experience this

I have set up the sections and schedules. Everything in the timetabled lessons is fine for the first two weeks and then it all changes. Any help with this issue would be welcome. I am in Spain so GMT + 1 if that makes a difference.

Did you set SchoolTool's time back to GMT?

I set the timezone to UTC but this didn't help. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Can you help with this problem?
