How are Credits used to calculate GPA?

Asked by AllanMitch

There is a place to enter credits for a particular course, but I don't see how it can be used in calculating a student's GPA or earned credits for a term or school year. So I guess this really is a 2 part question:
Can GPA's be calculated and reported?
If so, how does one use a course's credits in that calculation?

Hi Allan,

Basically, as you can see all the data necessary to calculating GPA is in place, and we've got a computer, so GPA's CAN be calculated, but no, there is not a standard report for doing so (presumably on a transcript) yet. It is on the TODO list, and almost certainly will be in the April 2012 release.
