where is sample data for downloading?

Asked by Zhang Weiwu

according to the comments on https://bugs.launchpad.net/cando/+bug/420750 there is already existing sample data spreadsheet.

These book pages mentioned the sample data but did not offer link to download them:

http://book.schooltool.org/htmlhelp/system-requirements.html
http://book.schooltool.org/htmlhelp/spreadsheet.html

But where is this sample data?

meanwhile, would it not be a bug to have not yet removed the have sample data generation feature in 1.5.0? (It is broken as I tested).

It is part of your local installation. That is, there is a link on the import data form itself to "sample_data.xls"

After local installation where can I find "sample_data.xls" to import data.

As explained above, it is on the Import XLS form. Except it might be missing on some of the development versions. It should be in the released versions. If it is missing, let us know what version you are using.

I, who started the question, is not able to verify it (after so many years:). I take Chriag's answer granted and marked it solved.
