See grades from last year in this years cando gradebook

Hi.
Our skillsett is set up by skills masterd in 1st - 4th grade and 5th-7th grade. Now i have made a new year, and a new section with the same course and skillset as last year and most of the same students(last years 4th-6th students, now 5th-7th), but the grades from last year are not transferred. Is this possible to do? or do i have to manualy type in the previous grades?
