sbackup does not recognize backup files

Asked by Alan Folsom

Our ubuntu server recently crashed, and I'm trying to restore files from an external hard drive with sbackup. The backup files are listed (though a lot end in "corrupt"), but even the good ones are not recognized by the gui. If I try to restore from the command line, I get a message saying something to the effect that the full pathname to the backup file must be used, even though I am.

I see references to this problem elsewhere, but can't find the fix.

Thanks!

Any help with this? I have SVN repositories I'd really like to recover.

Hi.
Can you please go to the backup directory, and do:

tar tf files.tar*

?
