error during authentication

I'm very, very new to SamePlace Instant Messenger. When trying to connect, I get the message "XMPP: error during authentication". What is causing this error message to appear? What do I need to do to correct the problem?

I've started to experience this problem since recently. Gtalk works just fine. Any changes on the server?

Addition: It's either this or it won't connect at all for quite a while. Especially in the morning (CET).
