Hi, I use already SamePlace with identi.ca.
Maybe I don't get your question :-/

When you use the set up wizard there is a Twitter button, but no Identi.ca button.
How does one set up to connect to Identi.ca?
By the way the Twitter button wouldn't work for me - all it did was show the pulse bar for ages and ages.

I followed identi.ca web site instructions:
* Login to identi.ca
* Click on "Connect" (near to "Account")
* Enter your Sameplace account in the text field
* Add "<email address hidden>" as a new contact in Sameplace contact list
* Click on link identi.ca sends you via "<email address hidden>" contact

Got it :)
IMHO it's pretty easy. I don't know if a real wizard is necessary.
