How do I create a same place extension?

I'm pretty excited about sameplace because I've been looking for an integrated xmpp/imap client. I see that sameplace supports thunderbird. Sweet! Can't wait to try it out.

I want to be able to label conversations like I can do with emails. Can sameplace do this? If not, how hard would it be to create an extension or add this functionality?

Well, unfortunately, it's not correct (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/sameplace/+bug/307410, first comment), but anyway.

Hi Ryan,

as X-Pilot said, Thunderbird compatibility is being dropped because of lack of manpower. If you're interested in an integrated IMAP/XMPP client and want to give it a try, I'll be glad to give support.
