Probably, you doesn't have a sameplace.cc account, which needs to access to MSN transport on sameplace.cc. If you don't want this, you may try to search for another transport. When you found it, select "Tools -> Import Contacts" from SamePlace's menu...

Hmm, it's weird though, if he doesn't have a sameplace.cc account the wizard just suggests to create one.

khorven, can you try from Firefox 3 with SamePlace 0.9.3 downloaded from www.sameplace.cc/download?

I've tried with firefox, it told me to create an account, I did, (<email address hidden>), but now, if I try to connect, on Sameplace's Jabber service, it shows a bar, and it stays like that forever, I've waited almost an hour and nothing happened...

Probelm solved, turns out I didn't have xmpp4moz installed. By the way, there's a sameplace addon compatible with songbird 1.0 at http://addons.songbirdnest.com/.
