Hi,

Are there any plans to add support for the IRC protocol? This would be useful for people who use the Bitlbee gateway to consolidate their IM traffic.

Sorry Mark, I've just been away from development for a while. You should be able to connect to IRC channels using IRC transports, e.g. if you have an account at sameplace.cc you could join somechannel%<email address hidden>. Support for it is sketchy at the moment though (I think someone reported that channels weren't always left correctly).

Can you help with this problem?
