About UI: nope. Seems, that UI will stay as it exists in this version (0.9.x branch), so sorry. :-/ But, of course, feedback about your experience with it is welcome!

About Jabbar: it's deprecated, but you can install NotifyMe (http://notifyme.hamen.org/ ), if you need functionality of Jabbar.

Roy, it would help to know what parts of the previous interface you liked the most, so that we can re-consider them for future versions.

bard: I know this is an old question, but the topic re: the UI is relevant to what I'm experiencing with the most recent SamePlace update. Now, with SamePlace enabled, I'm seeing an ever-present slim, striped bar at the left side of my Firefox window. Before, SamePlace was completely hidden when not in use, but now this bar on the left side of the browser betrays its presence. Is there any way to make the sidebar completely hidden when not in use?
