Definition Status: Obsolete? Confused...

Asked by Joe

After I've registered some Blueprints last days the definition status of some requests was changed from "New" to "Obsolete".

But what is the meaning of that?
What is the meaning of "Definition Status" and what means "Obsolete" in this context?

Thanks for an answer!

The full comment:

"Valid suggestion but mis-posted -- marking obsolete for lack of better
status."

Hmm, I see my other comments to your questions haven't shown up yet, I wonder if something is wrong with the mail-to-web gateway in launchpad. I'll repost them from web (like this).

Thank you!

Btw: But it would also be nice, if someone could explain "Definition status" and "Obsolete".
Thx.
