Escape-sequence text colors do not match colors in gnome-terminal.

I am considering changing from gnome-terminal to Sakura terminal. However, my first evaluation of Sakura found the text colors to be dark and drab, compared to what I see in gnome-terminal. I am referring to the coloring of text using the normal escape sequences. What needs to be done to get the escape-sequence text colors in Sakura to match the text colors of gnome-terminal?
