Public and Floating IP

Hi,

Why do we have a public IP when we have a floating IP and vice versa ? What is the difference between them ? Can somebody please clear me on this.

Like, why is there an option for assigning Public IP and Floating IP ranges when both are meant for the same purpose

They should be the same thing.

Savanna should mostly reference Floating IPs. If the documentation/configuration is also talking about Public IPs, let us know and we can fix it.
