do i have to get a permission if i want to use it in my research?

I have a project paper about IS Disaster Management
i i found this system or program will be very helpful in my proposed system
i'd like to know if i have to apply for a permission from u to use it for my proposed system, please inform me so i do what is correct

Hi Ali

Sahana-agasti is a free and opensource system which means you can download, use and customise it for free without even mentioning the origin of it, but doing so is highly appreciated.

Also you might want to join the sahana community where you can get lots of help in this area.
