GNU GPL 2 or 3? Master home page?

Asked by Ralph Corderoy on 2010-08-01

Is rubber released under GNU GPL version 2 or 3? says GNU GPL v3 but is GNU GPL v2.

Where is the master home page for the rubber project? There's,, and as candidates. The downloads from some of them give 404 HTTP errors, e.g. It's a bit confusing if you're looking for the definitive place to get the source from.

It would also be useful to know the answers if attempting to package rubber for distributions.

Can I bump this question? I am looking to package rubber for a new platform and need to ensure the information is correct. Without a response here I will be forced to assume this is not the correct location.

About the license: the code says GPLv2 (and always did), so it is the one which applies. I fixed this information on the Launchpad page.

The master home page is now the Launchpad one:
I changed the old ones so they redirect here. They were outdated and I currently lack the time to maintain a proper and useful web page.
I also removed all previous download links, now the files are hosted on Launchpad too.

I hope that clears things up...

Yes, it does. Many thanks.

Thanks Emmanuel Beffara, that solved my question.
