compizconfig-settings-manager not translatable in Launchpad

Asked by Redmar

It looks like compizconfig-settings-manager (https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/maverick/+source/compizconfig-settings-manager) cannot be translated using LP. Is this because of some error or because the strings for that package are located in another template? (If so, what package)

Thanks

Hi Redmar,

That's because compizconfig-settings-manager is not available in the
main repository of Ubuntu, but rather in the universe repository.

Only packages in main are translatable in Ubuntu. If you want to
translate compizconfig-settings-manager, I'd recommend you to do it
directly upstream, and then its translations will be imported into
Ubuntu once there is a new package release which includes them.
