1. Log in as normal user on the Linux-based OS on which you want to install the ROHC library.
2. Download the archive of the lastest ROHC release.
3. Extract the source code:
       $ tar xvjf rohc-X.Y.Z.tar.bz2
4. Go inside the source directory:
       $ cd rohc-X.Y.Z
5. Configure the library:
       $ ./autogen.sh
6. Build the code:
       $ make all
7. Install the library as root:
       $ su
       # make install
       # exit

The library is now installed on your system. It is installed in the /usr/local/ directory be defaut. In case you want to change that, run ./autogen.sh --prefix=<path> at step 5.
