Riven X

Can Not Open

Alright, when I try to open MYST 10th Anniversary DVD Edition, Myst Trilogy Edition, or Original DVD Edition (they all say "Not installed. Can be used without installation." under them) a window that says "The Riven data file "a_Data.MHK" is unavailable. To re-install your Riven edition, relaunch Riven X while holding down the Option key. If you have a Riven DVD edition, you may instead insert your disc and relaunch Riven X." I do not have the Riven DVD so how am I supposed to work these? Was there something I did wrong?

Which edition of Riven do you own? If you have the original 5 discs CD edition (5 discs), please select the Original CD Edition from the list and use the Install button to install it on your hard drive.

I don't own any version of Riven. I thought this was a free download. Am I wrong?

Riven X requires a full legal copy of Riven. I would be in gross violation of international copyright laws if I were to distribute a copyrighted work for free without permission.
