loaded will not start

Asked by mickey

Running Mac tower, OSX 10.4.11 lots of storage.
Down loaded Riven X and proceeded to load Riven Mac CD, all 5 disks.
While on last disk I was ask if I want Riven to remember CD, I think that was the exact wording. I hit the blue "yes" and that window left. FYI, at that time the blue revolving line had not reached the end to the right.
Now when I click Riven X, (only 10 MB, this does not seem to be the program) I get a "debug" window and at same time a black larger window and then both disappear almost immediately.
Help please.

You are most likely seeing a crash. Please file a bug report at https://bugs.launchpad.net/rivenx, and make sure to include a crash log. Crash logs can be found in your home folder > Library > Logs > CrashReporter. They will be named something like "Riven X_DATE_MACHINE-NAME.crash. If there isn't any, still file a bug and we'll take it from there.

Please also include the Riven X log, which is in your home folder > Library > Logs > Riven X > Riven X.log.

Thanks.

I have created a bug report for your convenience from the question. You can find the on the right sidebar under the "Related bugs" section. Please attach the information I requested in my earlier answer to the bug.

Hi,
I hope this is what you need, it is labled "Riven X log" This was under >logs>Riven X, under logs there is a "Crash Reporter", but it is empty.
Also, a note I forgot, my Mac is pre intel. If that makes a difference.
I appreciate your help.
Michael

Any ideas so far as to my problem?

No, but looking at the log above, basically you do not meet the minimum requirements for Riven X. Hopefully the upcoming 0.8 release will address this as it will allow software fallback.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask mickey for more information if necessary.
