What format do I use to save games for Riven X vs.7 on my MacBook?

I have the latest version of Riven X downloaded and running on my MacBook. I have tried to save games, but keep getting files which are unreadable. What format should I use to save games from Riven X on my computer?

Apologies for the late reply, I did not get notified about this question.

Make sure you are using Riven X 0.7.2, the latest pre-release version. From the File menu, choose Save As... at any time to create a new saved game, and Open... to continue a previously saved game.

Saved games from the original Riven program are currently not supported and will not be until the final 1.0 release.

Have you had trouble opening a previously saved game George? I am able to choose Save As... to create a saved game but then that file is unrecognized by Riven X when I try to Open... it later.

KJB5200: I'm having no trouble saving and resuming games in Riven X 0.7.2. Could you please file a bug report with the steps you're taking to save a game and then to open it. Please attach a sample saved game that fails to open as well please.
