Riven X

First time Riven player here. Should I play this?

Hi there, my friend recommended I play Riven, and I found this site. I just wanted to know how playable this is, I noticed a user couldn't access Ghen's office and it was said that that part hasn't been implemented yet. If I start playing this game, will I be stopped unexpectedly? Or should I just get the older version of the game and play on Windows or an older computer with OS 9?

Also, does this game change anything in the game? (Graphics, etc)

Riven X is a new engine for the original game. As such, it requires that own a copy of the game and does not have new graphics or features. It plays almost exactly like the original.

Currently, Riven X is under development. The currently released version has a lot of known issues that have been addressed in source but not yet released to the public. I am planning a new release relatively soon, so I recommend you wait for that.
