Rhythmbox Cover Art Problem

Asked by Saad Bin Javed

How can I tell the Cover Art Plugin to rescan a particular cover? Some of the covers that it displays are not of the song playing and i would like to know how to fix that.

Rhytmbox use the ebay.com sites to get the cover. So, sometimes get confused and download wrong covers.

You can go /home/user/.gnome2/rhythmbox/covers directory, locate the cover you want looking for Artist - Album.jpg type of file. You can erase, and get rhytmbox download it again, or replace it with one you download, just paste a new jpg file.

Maybe we need a tool to attach personalized covers to our own albums :D

Thankyou Mario.

I think a plug-in or option within Rhythmbox to do such a task would be
wonderful.

How do you handle the case where a single album has multiple artists? The filename is supposed to be in the form "Artist - Album"; using just "Album" doesn't work.

Drag and Drop into the cover art area would be easy for users to do, similar to what pidgin has for the buddy icon. It would be really good if you could drop directly from the browser though, w/o having to download the images.

With drag and drop the problem is realizing that you can do just that. Rhythmbox currently supports loading of files that are stored in the same folder with the song files as conver.png or cover.jpeg. This how ever does not solve the problem when you are playing music over a network share.
