The Rhythmbox Music Management Application

Where is RhythmBox Database for configuration information

Asked by Jean-Claude Noel on 2007-06-04

Hi!

Where is RhythmBox Database for configuration information such as where the podcast are stored.

Here is the context. I have change the location of the podcast after I added a few to my podcast library. As a result, the program is not able to find the old podcasts.

I would like the library to stay at it's new location.

I need to fix the existing podcast location.

I think this information is kept somewhere. I think it could be a XML file Inot sure).

If I know where the information for the existing podcasts is. I might be able to manually fix it.

Regards
Jean-Claude

Thanks for your question.

I'm not quite sure if I got you right, but you might be searching for gconf:

1) Open Applications->System Tool->Configuration Editor
2) Open Apps->Rythmbox->State->Podcast

Is that what you're searching for?

The XML files that hold the rhythmbox playlists and other data are in.....

~/.gnome2/rhythmbox/

In newer rhythmbox versions it lives in:

~/.local/share/rhythmbox/rhythmdb.xml

Can you help with this problem?
