When will Canada be given its own region?

Asked by Erigami

The 7digital website provides prices in Canadian dollars, but the store available through the Rythmbox plugin doesn't - it shows prices in euros. I assume Canada is being classed as part of the world store.

When can Canadians expect to see prices in our own dollars?

Hi! We are looking to expand the regions supported by the music store. I don't have any time tables right now but we'll be sure to notify everyone of expansion on our blog at http://voices.canonical.com/ubuntuone/

To see a list of the regions we support today, please check out the following FAQ: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuOne/FAQ#What%20regions%20of%20the%20world%20will%20be%20able%20to%20purchase%20songs?

Thank you,

Joshua

Joshua, I looked at the blog and there is in fact no sign of expansion notices there as of 16 September 2010...

Please please please 7digital has a Canadian store and I - and surely others - would love to access its much larger than the world store catalogue through Ubuntu One. My son, for instance, who as of 1 September has no more access to iTunes as his away at school laptop is Ubuntu only.

Please please please!

Can you help with this problem?
