Catalog availability

Asked by Nicolas Maître

I can't find any recent music that I wanted to. I tried out with many famous artists and for the huge majority, it's not found.

Otherwise, if I click on the "Just Added" tab, I get a list of albums and their adding date to the catalog. The problem is that the most recent albums are from about 2 years ago...minimum.

I was wondering if it was a problem due to my location : I'm from Belgium, UE. According to the FAQ, I should be able to download
a good part of the music usually available int the music store. What am I missing ?

If I'm not missing anything, why is Canonical/the web sphere announcing such an offer as an itunes store killer when it's another empty store ?
How is it possible that a such a big distributor (7digital) is not offering recent music ? (As I said, last added albums are from 2008).

The store's initial catalog was build primarily for development purposes. Now that we're nearing the Ubuntu 10.04 LTS launch, the store's catalog of music just needs to be refreshed to show actual artists, albums and songs that should be available. I'm working on getting that addressed. It should happen very soon and I apologize for the delay. Thanks.
