Integration with Simplenote

Asked by Kurt Woodham on 2012-04-05

First of all - great editor. Found it today, and really like it.

ReText works well with markdown-formatted notes that I authored via Simplenote. (My Simplenote files are replicated to my Linux netbook using Dropbox, and I edit them locally using ReText.)

Many Linux users have been wishing for a good Markdown (or simple text editor, for that matter) that can synchronize with Simplenote. Would you consider taking a look at the Simplenote API and seeing if this is something that you would consider in your Roadmap for ReText?

Again, thanks for a great editor.

- Kurt

According to the website, SimpleNote API is in private testing currently.

When they make it open, it'll be possible to write an Export Extension for ReText (see https://sourceforge.net/p/retext/wiki/Export%20Extensions/) — the process is very simple and anyone can write such an extension without ReText code knowledge.

Can you help with this problem?
