Problems with data Upload to RescueTime

Asked by Ataliba

Hello, I install the 93 version and I have some archives on my finished directory.

In the reply directory all of my archives receive the success status. I wait for an 3 or 4 hours for check the Dashboard and there no any data on my RescueTime.

Is there any other thing I need to do on my computer to get RescueTime Uploader send data to RescueTime ?

thanks,

Ataliba

Hi Ataliba, I have the same error here... I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala, and my data are not been uploaded to RescueTime servers...

Somebody knows how to solve that issue?

Thanks,

This project needs a developer to volunteer to update the code to work
again, I have not had any time to work on this. Sorry...

I belive the problem is the version of Python. Some codes developed on Python 2.5 ou 2.4 don't work on Python 2.6.

I am trying to install Python 2.5 on my Fedora to see if the code works. If the code works, the solution is update the code to work with python 2.6 :-)

Well,

I'm not a Python Programmer. I am curious about this language and I made some code with this.

I edit the code to run without gnome keyring ... but the updates was send to RescueTime and my Dashboard don't show any data :(

Well, I believe there are same problems with the code. I don't have some time to maintain any code, but ... for my use, I will code same patches and If I solve the problem, I put the code on this site or another to anyone use.

Elliot Murphy,

where you find documentation about the comunication with the API of Rescuetime. On the site, we find an API with only read option.

The address https://api.rescuetime.com/api/ is read and write ?

Thanks,

The problem was server side and was fixed (should be working now), look at this thread http://www.getsatisfaction.com/rescuetime/topics/linux_uploader_api_handshake_problem

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Ataliba for more information if necessary.
