Is it running? Did I start it?

Asked by richardh9935

Firstly, many thanks for creating the uploader for Linux. I've downloaded the TAR, extracted, and installed the bits, following your instructions in README.TXT. All the Python stuff worked perfectly. Now I have the extension running in Firefox, and a red RescueTime icon in my Gnome panel. (BTW, I'm using Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10).

Now, what or where is the data collector? Is it only the Firefox extension at this stage? Do I need to do anything to start another data collector? Or is "rescuetime_linux_uploader" also the data collector? In any case, should I do something to make sure it starts whenever I log on to my pc?

Richard.

If you've got the red RescueTime icon in your Gnome panel, it's running. Check the dashboard at http://rescuetime.com/dashboard after an hour or so to check that it's uploaded some data, and you should be good to go.

Hello, I install the 93 version and I have some archives on my finished directory.

In the reply directory all of my archives receive the success status. I wait for an 3 or 4 hours for check the Dashboard and there no any data on my RescueTime.

Is there any other thing I need to do on my computer to get RescueTime Uploader send data to RescueTime ?

thanks,

Ataliba
