installing referencer-1.2.2 using ppa or software center

I am unable to install referencer-1.2.2 on ubuntu 14.04. Going through the README provided there does not help me since I do not follow the steps. Can the developers simplify the process by putting in in the repository of the Software Center or providing the facility through PPA?

Also I work on two computers--one at home and one in my office. Is there a way to keep updating the database from one computer to another (without having to copy the full directories and the libraries)?
