Redshift location problem

I am a fairly new user to Linux (about 2 weeks) and am currently running Ubuntu 14.04. Switching from Windows to Ubuntu I searched for an application similar to f.lux and I found Redshift, which I actually like much better and have really enjoyed it.

Earlier this afternoon I noticed the geo-location that Redshift is using is located in California, but I am in Virginia... I use a VPN Client while in public places and I may have accidentally and stupidly set my location for California rather than my current location of where I live... I vaguely remember Redshift asking for a lat/lon location when installing it originally. I ran terminal to fix this, but for some reason it will not change. Since I couldn't change the lat/lon manually, I tried to go with the gnome-clock, but that did not work either..

After trying to input my lat/lon -> $ redshift -l LAT:LON ; this is what I see to check my application settings (Richmonds lat/lon - 37.5:-77.4):

Trying location provider `geoclue'...
Started Geoclue provider `Geoclue Master'.
Using provider `geoclue'.
According to the geoclue provider we're at: 38.11, -122.26

Response when trying to use gnome clock as the provider:

Cannot list GNOME panel applets.
Initialization of gnome-clock failed.

Ok, my questions:

1) How do I change my "geoclue" location? I searched online and could not find a method. I have considered removing it, then reinstalling, but before I do that I wanted some support first. Like I said, I am a newer user of Linux and am learning my way around, I don't want to screw myself over in some way by doing that.

2) Is there a reason why my gnome clock fails to work? I think it would be more convenient to use that rather than geolocation anyway, that way if I don't have internet connection, it will work with my internal clock - I rarely travel.

Other than this issue, the app runs great, so I can't complain too much. I usually aim to be in bed by 10pm, so having the application set in west coast time is not very helpful when living on the east coast. Thanks so much for the support.
