Multi-monitor redshift support

Asked by bward

I recently upgraded to the most recent version (1.4) and I'm not able to apply the redshift to all of my monitors. I instead reverted back to a 1.2 release in which I could specify which display to shift using -s 0 or -s 1.

In my setup I have 3 monitors, two on one nvidia video card and one on another. With this setup (to the best of my knowledge) you cannot use randr.

Is the recent release suppose to automatically adjust all of the monitors?

The procedure for configuring which monitors and CRTCs should be affected changed in 1.4. Try "-m randr:screen=0" or "-m randr:screen="'. See "redshift -m randr:help" for more information.

Ok, thanks that works.

Would it be possible to unify the configuration of all of the redshift instances through the gtk applet? Or should this be filed under a bug/feature request?

Yes that would be possible. Please file a bug report for this and I'll keep it in mind for the future development of the program.
