Slow/Unpredictable load times on windows (2.25)

I recommend having a look at the logfile C:\Users\username\.rednotebook\rednotebook.log or posting it here.

Or do you simply have a really large journal?

I checked the rednotebook.log but oddly the log lines start appearing *after* the 4min wait this morning, there is nothing from when I initially double-clicked the app. I took note of the time the app finally opened (9:02 AM) and see all logs occurring after this point, the entire process took about 5 seconds according to the logs.

Is there a historical log kept somewhere? This seems to only have my current session.

My notebook is fairly small, 96KB on disk, backups come out to 22kb.

Unfortunately, there are no historical logs. I'm working on a new RedNotebook version based on newer libraries. Maybe the problem magically goes away by the upgrade :-)

Sounds good, I will check back in with the new version if the problem still persists.
