Can't save to network drive from Win 10 but can from Ubuntu

Asked by miner_tom on 2019-03-13

Hi,

I have rednotebook installed on Win 10 and ubuntu 18.04. I would like to use the same file for both. I have a samba share on the home network and rednotebook can "see" this share and the directory on it from Ubuntu. However, I can not "save as" from the system on win 10 because rednotebook can't see the network share. The share is certainly visible to win 10 File Explorer but NOT to rednotebook.

I am wondering if there is a way to get this working or perhaps a better way to have a single archive accessible to two operating systems on the same network.

Thank You

Sorry, but I don't have any experience setting something like this up.
If you're comfortable with using a cloud provider like Dropbox, that
could be an alternative.

Can you help with this problem?
