Hi thanks for the links. I still have to try it, next weekend I guess. The
link to your server deb.kathenas.org is broken however.

If no package can be found, you can always clone the repository
(https://github.com/jendrikseipp/rednotebook) and follow the
instructions from the same page (install dependencies and call ./run).

Hi b,

I managed to install RedNotebook in Debian Stretch by adding a repository of Debian Jessie to /etc/apt/sources.list, namely

deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian jessie main

(see https://packages.debian.org/jessie/all/rednotebook/download), and then proceeded to install RedNotebook using aptitude package manager. You would need to run aptitude update first of course.

It worked out for me, but I wouldn't know if this solution is consistent nor safe. I just trust that aptitude will take care of every dependencies and system-wide consistency.

Best,

Nacho

Glad, that you found a solution. Keep in mind though that this is a
rather old version of RedNotebook.

@Jendrik, you are right. I did not notice that. Thanks.

With the transition to Debian 9 I also experienced problems with the sound and with my printer, so I decided to reinstall Debian 8.11.

Thanks for your efforts though!
