password protect the rednotebook application.
Is there any way that rednotebook can be opened only after entering the password. This is just to prevent others accidentally opening my personal thoughts and journals.

This is not possible by design. If we added a password, it would give a
false sense of security. If you want to keep your journal private, you
have to encrypt the journal files (ideally your whole disk) with an
external program and log out of your session when you're away from the
computer.

Thanks for the quick response.
Encrypting the journal files is a good idea.
I just found another work around which is decent enough for my case. Since the config files and data is stored in /root/.rednotebook directory(in ubuntu) for super user and /home/xxxx/
Can you help with this problem?
Provide an answer of your own, or ask helloworld for more information if necessary.
