RE: Question #659358; plans for an Andriod App
It is a shame that "… there are currently no concrete plans for it."
A lot of people, myself included, have both a full computer and a tablet (and / or smart phone).
Without a version of RedNotebook for a mobile device a user has to either:
• have an up and running PC, loaded with Linux, with them at all times, or
• remember everything they want to enter in RedNotebook when they get back to one.
As Android is based on the Linux kernel, it is likely closer to Linux than iOS, and therefore a better candidate for a version of RedNotebook.
BTW. It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway, that a mobile version MUST be able to:
1. use the same database as the PC version, and
2. be able to sync with the PC version, without using the Internet. i.e. complete stand alone, perhaps via USB.
