Feature Request: Color the days of the calendar

I really like this program, and I have an idea: is it possible to color the days of the calendar in the upper left in different colors? I move around to different locations over the course of weeks and I think it would be neat to be able to color the different calendar days according to where I am that day.

Unfortunately, I don't think the underlying graphics library allows
coloring the days.

Can you help with this problem?
