RedNotebook in OpenBSD 6.2

Asked by Daniel Villarreal

I installed RedNotebook in OpenBSD 6.2. I'm using Xfce. I couldn't get RedNotebook to open, until I I ran pkg_mklocatedb and afterwards it opens fine. Is there a reason for this ?

P.S. It's great to have the program back in OpenBSD, it runs great. Thanks to everyone involved in development and support of this software.

I think it would be best to report this to the maintainer of the
RedNotebook OpenBSD package.

Thank you. I just sent email to OpenBSD developer/port maintainer Mr. Antoine Jacoutot, and am waiting on a reply.

Mr. Antoine Jacoutot did not address this aspect of my email inquiry, even though he did reply to my email message.

Thanks for the update. Probably he just forgot. Usually a friendly
reminder doesn't hurt :-)

Can you help with this problem?
