can't start a journal

When I want to start a new journal, I get the directory .rednotebook/data. There is one file in it which is hardly visible, and when I click okay, I get the massage in red: wrong directory ... And why can't you put just the text in the rednotebook editor, and from there save it?

Could you please send me the log. You can find it in your user directory
under .rednotebook/rednotebook.log
