The bug should be fixed now. Please fetch the newest deb package and try
again.

I was using : rednotebook version : 1.15-0~201704191257~ubuntu17.04.1
Yes the bug is fixed now 9:10 04/20/2017 Paris Time.

Today I'm having much the same issue. RedNotebook won't launch for me. I'm using Windows 10. Uninstalled RNB, re-booted, and re-installed RNB 1.15. Still won't launch. If there is a log file, I don't see it.

This issue is unrelated since there is no GTK 3 Windows version for
RedNotebook, yet. You should find the logfile under
C:\Users\username\.rednotebook\rednotebook.log. If you can find it,
please paste the contents here.

Since the log shows a successful run, it doesn't help us unfrotunately.
You could try starting RedNotebook from the command line.

I found my self-induced error. Windows directory folder property for user/.rednotebook had been switched to hidden. Sheesh. Thanks for your willingness to help.
