functionality

Asked by timothy mcmanus

I would like to have a diary/journal, but does yours have the following functionality?

I am a keen gardener, both external and pot plants, growing a lot of plants from seed.

So i would like to write in the journal when i planted the seed, and a few days later the progress on different days as time goes by, but somehow for them to be linked, so that when i want to see how i grew a plant, i could find all the entries just for that plant. but i have many seeds/plants going at the same time so i dont really want to have loads and loads of "projects"

does this make sense?

You could use hashtags for this purpose. On each day you write soemthing
about plant 52 you could add #plant52. Then you can search for this
hashtag and get a list of all days with that tag.

I recommend testing this for some "example" plants to see if RedNotebook
has all the required functionality.

I would say the answer is "yes", because even without hashtags you can search for "plant 52" and get a list of all days about plant 52. As I said, you'll have to try yourself whether this suits your needs.

Hi Jendrik Seipp

And I say no, because you are suggesting a work around.

so I wont be using your software.

Instead, you could have engaged me in what I would liked to have seen and engaged more to see if you could have incorporated my idea into your software and made your software better. But it would seem that your software is perfect, and therefore does not need extra "Stuff"

good luck in your marketing
