Spellcheck doesn't work

Hello,

I have installed rednotebook in ubuntu mate 16.04. I also installed python-gtkspellcheck. But still, spellcheck doesn't work. Please help me. I thought that "python-gtkspellcheck" is the only requirement in order for spellcheck to work.
I can see in rednotebook in: Edit/Spell Check, is faded out, I can't select it. So it's not available. Why? What can I do?

This has been fixed in the development version, which will hopefully be
released soon.
