Started freezing on opening. Updated. Still freezing

Asked by Louise

Hello,
I use RedNotebook a lot. Recently, it's been freezing a few seconds after launching. I exit the program and try again and the same thing happens, every time. Today I downloaded the most up to date file in case I wasn't using it, and the same thing happened.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Louise

I guess you're using Windows? Can you please start RedNotebook, wait
until it crashes, close it somehow and then post the logfile from
C:\Users\your-username\.rednotebook here, please?

Unfortunately, the log contains no information about why the program
hangs. The easiest way to debug this problem (which other users
experienced before, but could never be fixed since I could never
reproduce it) would be to send me your journal files by e-mail. I'd only
use them for debugging and delete them afterwards, however, I can fully
understand if you're not comfortable with this.

Hi, I could do that. What email address would be best to send them to? There are actually only a few files, as my old RedNotebook files were on old laptops/before I had issues with this laptop fixed. The text files open fine individually. It's opening RedNotebook itself that seems to be the problem.
